Unfortunately, there's not much you can do to prevent cherry angiomas from forming. They're largely genetic and tend to increase with age. Factors like hormones and sun exposure might play a role, but it's not like you can avoid them entirely. Once they're there, removal is really the only way to get rid of them. The good news is they don't turn into anything dangerous. Some people just learn to live with them, while others prefer to have them removed for cosmetic reasons.
